Who are Qualified for Membership

Institutions from the government sector, academe, business and industry and private individuals may be admitted for membership subject to the qualification that the applying institution must manifest adherence to the following:

Acceptance of the fact that the forces of globalization will have a tremendous impact on society, most especially the operation of government, academe, business, and industry;

Total awareness of the usefulness of information technology and the role it will play in enhancing the capability of the Philippines and the Filipino people in coping with the challenges of the global market;

Manifestation of a strong belief that IT can enhance institutional productivity, growth, and development;

Performs advocacy role that IT is a way in empowering the Filipino workers that will strengthen its competitiveness in the local and global market;

Willingness to take initiatives for the enhancement of the world class Filipino workers for them to discharge a meaningful contribution of each one for the greater welfare of all the Philippine society;

Effective contributor in terms of financial support and contribution in kind for the implementation policies ,execution of programs and project which shall led to the realization of the vision of IFIT.

 

Roles and Obligations of Members

Academic

  • Strengthen education and trainings;
  • Share facilities and expertise for the enhancement of ICT HR anchored on Industry standards subject to the approval of respective authorities;
  • Participate in the programs and projects of IFIT to strengthen institutional linkages collaborations;
  • Assist in the promotion of certification program for international benchmarking among educational institutions, government sector, and business and industry;
  • Collaborate with the government sector and business and industry; and
  • Promote policies, programs, and projects of IFIT.

Business/Industry

  • Share data that will determine the types of IT programs needed by business and industry in the regional, national, and international levels;
  • Collaborate with the educational institutions and the government sector;
  • Lend support of the resources in business and industry that will strengthen inter-institutional collaboration to effect greater synergy in its operation;
  • Assist in the marketing campaign of the programs and projects of IFIT; and
  • Provide employment opportunities to highly qualified manpower in IFIT.

Government Sector

  • Take lead role in the formulation of supportive policies;
  • Design concrete support to programs and projects of IFIT that will redound to the empowerment of the Filipinos in general and the workers in particular;
  • Share government resources within rules and regulation of the government in the implementation of programs and projects of IFIT;
  • Collaborate with the academe, business, and industry; and
  • Take bold initiatives to improve governance in the public sector beneficial to business and industry in the Philippine society.

Individual

  • Actively participate in the planning and implementation of IFIT programs and projects;
  • Be diligent in the payment of membership due; and
  • Abide by the IFIT constitution and by-laws, and all rules and policies emanating from it, including ethical standard, local and international laws on ICT.

 

Membership Dues

Institution

  • Initial Membership Fee...........Php 5000.00
  • Annual Membership Fee.........Php 2500.00

Individual

  • Initial Membership Fee............Php 1000.00
  • Annual Membership Fee.........Php 500.00

2. Send application form to the IFIT Secretariat though:

3. Pay membership fee in cash to the IFIT Secretariat Office or check (payable to Iloilo Federation for Information Technology, Inc.) through the Land Bank of the Philippines Plaza Libertad Branch Account No. 003302-1021-70. Please email or fax your deposit slip.

4. Wait for confirmation of membership through mail, fax, or email. A certificate of membership will also be issued.
