Iloilo Federation for Information Technology


 

Iloilo Federation for Information Technology (IFIT) is a non-stock and non-profit organization founded in 2006 to develop the information and communications (ICT) in Iloilo. It is a collaboration of the academe, the government and the industry on ICT. It was created to help transform Iloilo into an ICT investment destination and major ICT and ITES hub through proactive intervention in human resource development. It is a member of the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP).

IFIT is a trilateral organization committed to support and promote ICT through curriculum development, research and exposition involvement.

Iloilo Ranked #92 in 2012 Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations

Iloilo inched 6 points from #98 last year to #92 in 2012 Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations.  According to Tholons, Iloilo experience a significant rise as aggressive development in infrastructure and capabilities development are pursued.  Some infrastructure was seen by Tholons include the completion of the Ayala Technohub located at BS. Aquino Drive, the Plazuela de Iloilo and some renovations done among buildings located in the heart of the city to house BPO companies.

Training for Work Scholarship Program

Announcing the availability of the following scholarships:

1. Finishing Course for Call Center Agent NC II - 900 slots

2. Professional 2D Assistant Animator NC III - 80 slots

3. Career Entry Course for Software Developer (JAVA) - 61 slots

 

Who are qualified?

 

  • Trainable as determined by pre-training assessment instruments.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Educational Attainment shall be based on industry requirements.
  • Priority shall be the unemployed and coming from families qualifying for the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).
  • Has not previously availed of the TESDA Training for Work Scholarship (from 2006-2010).
  • Other industry requires be considered e.g. near hires for Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO).
